Atlantic Musical Heritage

Explore historical music and Atlantic musical heritage through talks, performances and practical sessions. This third edition brings together researchers, musicians, teachers, students and enthusiasts to discuss musical identities, institutional memory, criticism and the preservation of regional repertoire. The programme combines research presentations with lecture concerts exploring guitar, violin, piano, rajão and ukulele traditions. Practical laboratories also examine nineteenth-century machete repertoire and the relationship between music and photography, creating opportunities to exchange knowledge across research and musical practice.
