MADEIRA WOOL SOCIETY | NOVEMBER GATHERING: INSPIRATION

Our monthly gatherings at Palheiro Gardens are a space to work on your own projects, exchange ideas and spend time with fellow fibre and textile enthusiasts. All textile techniques and experience levels are welcome. THIS MONTH'S THEME: INSPIRATION Bring one object that represents something inspiring to you. It could be connected to a culture, an artist or author, a natural element, a technique, a memory or anything that sparks your creativity. We'll take some time to share our objects and the stories behind them. YOUR PASS INCLUDES: Entry to Palheiro Gardens; access to Oh Lã Lã Fiber Lab; space to work on your projects; yarn, fibre and textile book swap corner; herbal tea from the garden; conversation and shared knowledge. WHAT TO BRING: Your current project and materials; one object related to INSPIRATION; your own cup or thermos; yarn, fibre, books or magazines to swap or donate (optional). A FEW NOTES: Registration and payment by Thursday, 12 November. Please bring only clean, reusable materials for the swap corner. Help us keep the gatherings low-waste by bringing your own cup. MWS welcomes all textile practices, backgrounds and experience levels. We communicate mainly in English and Portuguese, with occasional drifts into knittish, crochetish and weavish.
