Gato Legal Coffee Roastery is a great little find for anyone who appreciates really good coffee. They source green beans from different origins and roast them right here on Madeira, with a focus on carefully prepared espresso and filter coffee. But we wouldn’t come just for the coffee. The cakes and pastries are definitely worth trying too, and there’s a small food menu with a mix of South African influences and local flavours. It’s the kind of place where stopping for a quick coffee can easily turn into staying a little longer. If good coffee is your thing, Gato Legal is definitely one to have on your list.
