More than a beauty salon, KAMIT is a colourful space where beauty, wellbeing and community come together. Step inside and you’ll quickly notice that this isn’t your typical salon. Music might be playing, conversations flow easily, and you may even find a child sitting on the floor drawing while someone else gets their hair done. It’s lively, informal and a place where everyone can feel comfortable just as they are. KAMIT was founded by beauty therapist Esther Céline Gwack, with the idea of creating a space built around care, equality and a genuine sense of welcome. Hair is an important part of KAMIT, with cutting and styling for different hair types and textures, including Afro-textured hair. But there is much more on offer, with a range of beauty, aesthetic and holistic wellbeing treatments. What really makes KAMIT stand out is the feeling of the place: personal, open and wonderfully unpretentious – a space where very different people naturally come together.
