Lido's Tavern

We discovered Lido’s Tavern through a personal recommendation. Without that tip, we probably would have walked straight past — and missed one of the best, if not the best, ponchas in Funchal. The round snack stand with a few tables in front looks unassuming at first, but it’s a real little gem. The owners are exceptionally friendly and service-minded. Ponchas are freshly prepared, with a selection of other drinks and small snacks nicely rounding out the offering. An absolute recommendation.
