Machico Playground - Parque Infantil

This playground is just a short walk from Machico’s sandy beach and waterfront promenade, making it an easy stop before or after some time by the sea. Set in a small park under large, shady trees, it’s also a good option when you’re looking for somewhere for the kids to play away from the sun. The main feature is a caravel-shaped climbing structure with slides and sails inspired by Portugal’s maritime history. The playground has a soft safety surface and is enclosed by a fence, making it especially convenient with younger children. Another plus: there are several small snack bars right next to the park, and Gelati is just a few steps away. In our opinion, it serves the best ice cream on Madeira – so combining the playground with an ice cream stop is an easy win 😉
