From the car park in Lamaceiros along the Levada da Ribeira da Janela to the second Madre in the river bed and on to the first Madre, back to the starting point
Distance: ca. 26 Km 100 m of ascent

Condition
Moderate as far as the first Madre, after that exposed at times and poorly maintained, 12 tunnels as far as the first Madre! A very long walk
Remarks
The long tunnel is very wet from below, from the side and from above
