Condition

Ascent from the gravel path a little hidden; the first 200 metres over and under fallen tree trunks, then a good path, fewer steps and less slippery than the Vereda das Lages; ridge path in good condition as far as Boca das Voltas; descent in good condition; in the lower part, annoying bramble patches; Levada das Faias mostly no problem; the changes of level are in places a little slippery; a few exposed spots

Remarks

The aim of this walk was to look for the 2nd ascent path to the Chamine, which had already been described by the Amigos da Natureza. The descent from Boca das Voltas has also been described several times, and we had always wanted to explore the second part of the Levada das Faias from Faja do Penedo!
