Course

Macapez, on the eastern branch of the Levada da Penha de Aguia as far as the junction, footpath to the summit, first eastwards to the viewpoint with the geocache, back as far as the trigonometric point, descent westwards as far as the village of Penha de Aguia, immediately left at the village entrance and at first along the descent to Moinhos, a turn-off to the east and on the western branch of the Levada da Penha de Aguia back to the starting point

Distance: 6.5 Km, 519 Hm ascent, 519 Hm descent

Condition

A pleasant walk with no particular difficulties; the crux on the western branch of the Levada da Penha de Aguia can be bypassed comfortably. The viewpoint with the geocache calls for easy scrambling!

Notes

A fine walk with wonderful views, which in part also have to be sought out actively (geocaches). You simply have to have stood on this lump of rock once in your life!
