Course
On the Canal do Norte downstream to the storage reservoir of the Serra de Agua power station, descent alongside the penstock on a very steep path to the Caminho Real, on this as far as Boca do Cerro, Pico Grande, back by the same path
Distance: 21.2 Km, 1165 Hm ascent, 1165 Hm descent

Condition
A somewhat unusual start via the storage reservoir; the descent and, likewise, the ascent to and from the Caminho Real is exhausting! The rest is on a good, secure walking path. The "scramble" after the start at Boca do Cerro has been eased a little; the ascent of the summit block is, as it has been for ages, awkward on the defective wire cable, which scrapes your fingers every time!
Remarks
A physically demanding walk with little shade. Watch out for heat build-up and dehydration!
