Course
From the small viewpoint in Primeira Lombada, about 60 metres along the road towards Segunda Lombada, ascent to the Levada das Fontes, along it for about 80 metres in the former direction of flow, ascent on a well-preserved path to the summit, descent by the same path
Distance: 11.2 Km, 1250 m of ascent, 1250 m of descent

Condition
The ascent is straightforward, very steep on the first third. The descent is not entirely straightforward on the stone steps covered in leaves
Notes
A strenuous walk, with intriguing turn-offs in the forest, some of them in excellent condition. The view from the summit is stunning!
