Course

After the Madre a piped run as far as the Caminho da Degolada; here a short open spot (as a surge chamber to relieve the pressure). From there the pipe continues more or less parallel to the path as far as Cova das Pedras. Here a large reservoir. From here the levada continues in the open, with various branches off to the fields.
