Course

From the rather wild Madre on the left side of the Ribeira da Calheta, partly piped, to above the large Bombeiros Voluntarios building on the Caminho do Lombo do Doutor. Access to the levada is by this stairway.

Below the road it continues here along the Impasse da Levada de São João as far as the lower Caminho do Lombo de Doutor. Along that to the turn-off to a reservoir. The levada course ends here; the water is distributed onto the fields.
