Course
There are really two levadas, but they form one working unit:
Levada 1 is taken in high in the stream and runs along the footpath from the Levada do Furado to Chao dos Feiteiras, but after about 700 metres it is broken by a landslide. The water runs back into the stream. The levada remains continue dry to the levada bridge of the Levada do Furado over the Ribeira do Pozo do Bezerro
Levada 2 rises about 90 metres before the levada bridge, joins the dry remains of Levada 1 and leads the water into the Levada do Furado.
Keeping Levada 1 up, then, seems to make sense mainly for visitors.
End
Bridge of the Levada do Furado over the Ribeira do Poco do Bezerro ca. 880 m a.s.l.
