The levada appears on all IGeoE maps from 1955 on, but not on earlier ones. It could therefore also be an error on the map! Local people call the Levada de Cima or Levada Grande in Boaventura "Levada Grande".

The GPS track from Wikiloc (see the map) shows the path that is still walkable as far as the original Madre, so an approach to the levada would be possible here if it still existed.
