Beluga Submarine - Glass Bottom Boat

The Beluga Submarine is Madeira’s only glass bottom boat and has been operating from Funchal for many years. Tours depart from Funchal Marina and follow the south coast towards the Garajau Marine Reserve. Along the steep underwater cliffs, a variety of fish and marine life can be observed directly through the glass bottom. In the sheltered bay, the boat stops, allowing time to swim or snorkel. Afterwards, the tour continues into deeper waters, where there is sometimes the chance to spot dolphins, whales or turtles. The tour combines coastal cruising, underwater views and open sea.
