Pico Ruivo Campsite

This campsite on Madeira's highest peak is part of the biosphere reserve and offers breathtaking views and landscapes. The camping area, which only allows two tents at a time, is located near the Pico Ruivo refuge. All waste must be transported and disposed of in the appropriate containers in Achada do Teixeira in the parking lot. Access to Pico Ruivo is via the PR 1.2 “Vereda do Pico Ruivo”. Please note: The connecting road between Pico das Pedras and Achada do Teixeira (start of PR 1.2) closes at 19:00.
