Pimpinelas

Pimpinela’s is a small vegetarian café in the heart of Santa Cruz and a particularly useful address if you’re looking for meat-free food on this side of the island. Everything here is vegetarian, with plenty of vegan options as well. The selection ranges from burgers, quiches and salads to changing dishes of the day, alongside homemade sweet and savoury baked goods. Vegan cakes and plant-based milk alternatives are also available, although not every vegan option is always clearly marked – so it’s worth asking. It’s a simple, relaxed place for breakfast, lunch, a light meal or just coffee and something homemade from the counter – and prices are refreshingly reasonable.
