Madeira’s artisanal vegan cheese Veganaria in Ponta do Sol is Madeira’s first artisanal vegan cheese producer, creating plant-based cheeses from cashews and almonds using traditional fermentation and ageing methods – from creamy fresh cheeses to more intensely flavoured aged varieties. While their deli in Ponta do Sol is currently taking a break, Veganaria continues producing their cheeses, with more ageing space, more production days and new varieties on the way. You can find Veganaria products in Funchal at Celeiro, Fala Fala and Jacafé. You can also order directly from Veganaria via Instagram or WhatsApp and arrange a pickup at their location in Ponta do Sol.
