Tapy Shots – Korean Food & Poncha in Machico

Tapy Shots is one of those small places we probably wouldn’t have discovered without stopping by ourselves – and we’re glad we did. The little food truck sits directly on the beachfront promenade in Machico and serves a small selection of authentic Korean dishes, all freshly prepared and really tasty. Add some excellent ponchas and homemade lemonades, and you have a great little spot for a relaxed evening. We tried both the ginger and the mint poncha – and would definitely order them again. What we especially liked is the personal atmosphere. Tapy, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and makes the place feel more like a local hangout than just another food stop. And there’s another good reason to remember Tapy Shots: it stays open late. So if you’re in Machico in the evening and most restaurant kitchens have already closed, this is a great place to head to.
