Park at Pico do Furao, along the Levada do Pico Furao to its Madre under the first bridge, over 2 bridges, climb following the sparse arrow markings through the gorse, high-level path of the Ruivo-Encumeada pass, Boca das Torrinhas, descent on the PR 2 to Pico do Furao

Distance: 11 Km 820 Hm

Start: 07.50 Pico do Furao

End

Condition

Route-finding not entirely easy, arrows irregular, 2 quite exposed spots, high-level path and descent straightforward

Notes

Pathfinder skills and possibly a machete needed
