Course

The Madre lies under the bridge that carries the path to the fields and on to the high path from the Torrinhas pass to the Pico Ruivo (Cardos ascent: Walk 2013). The path follows it as well, as far as above the curious turning circle at the end of the road. From here it leads around the Pico Furao and ends in the Ribeira da Gomeira.
