On the Levada da Fonte Serrao upstream towards the penstock into the Socorridos power station, back by the same path
Distance: 2 Km, 2 Hm ascent, 2 Hm descent
Start: 15.30 road near Lourencinhos

Condition
Easy start, increasingly exposed and crumbling
Remarks
Great views of the Levada dos Piornais with its supporting arches, and of the Levada da Faja with the extremely exposed spot.
From the Caminho Joao Ernesto Pereira below, one also has a great view of the Levada dos Piornais opposite.
Because this was our last walk in Madeira this year, my wife did not want to take any further risks, especially as we had once narrowly scraped past a smaller disaster. But I do still want to go further there!
