7 August 2021 A relaxed circuit around Paul do Mar

Course

Start in Faja da Ovelha by the church, descent to the CR23 and on it to the Zimbreiros viewpoint. Descent on the somewhat battered CR23 to Paul do Mar.

After a break in a bistro with a Mediterranean touch, climb to the road and on via the Vereda da Atalaia to Raposeira.

On the Caminho do Aviceiro and the Vereda Levada da Fonte to the Travessa da Ladeira, and on along the 'church path' (a path with many benches for people going to church) to the Travessa da Igreja.

Here a little way up along the road, and then on the Levada Nova as far as the Colina da Faja.

From here on the Caminho and the Vereda da Soalheira back to the start.

Distance: 12.2 km, 700 m of ascent, 700 m of descent
