Levada do Bom Sucesso

The Levada do Bom Sucesso has two branches that lie independently of each other. The (upper) Levada do Bom Sucesso 1 was presumably taken out of use in the 1960s, while the Levada dos Tornos was being built. The water was presumably led as far as the Caminho do Meio and then steeply down along the Caminho do Meio to Bom Sucesso. Or, as a second possibility, the two branches were connected across the Ribeira de S.Martinho.
The accounts of the Levada do Bom Sucesso here refer to the lower branch, that is the Levada do Bom Sucesso 2!
