Rei da Poncha

Poncha? What is it? We often hear this question and here is the answer: Poncha is THE traditional drink in Madeira. It typically consists of aguardente de cana-de-açúcar, a Madeiran spirit made from sugar cane juice, honey (or cane sugar) and local oranges and/or lemons. At Rei da Poncha, you can get really good poncha and can even try different varieties with “one meter of poncha” 😋
