Course

Pedras, descent to the Cascalho, on the old access track to the western end of the long tunnel of the Levada das Rabacas, Levada das Rabacas, eastern and western basins of the Cascalho, the slip (2012), back on the Levada das Rabacas to the tunnel, through the long tunnel to the east side, to the levada house and a little further on the Levada das Rabacas, back to the tunnel entrance, climb to the Sergio sign, on to the Lombo do Mouro house, to the Levada do Lombo do Mouro, on to the ER-110 and along it to Pedras.

Distance: 15.1 Km, 563 Hm ascent, 563 Hm descent

Condition

A demanding walk with exposed sections, often overgrown and very wet, route-finding partly difficult, the tunnel relatively comfortable to walk, the levada in places unsecured and somewhat exposed, but in good condition, the climb to the Lombo do Mouro house with one easy scrambling spot, otherwise in good condition,

A walk along the old access track to the western exit of the long Rabacas tunnel
