Miradouro do Ninho da Manta

The Ninho da Manta viewpoint is just a few meters from the start of the Vereda do Areeiro (PR1, all information on this under Activities/Hikes), one of Madeira's most famous hiking trails. It is therefore a must for hikers setting off from here to the highest peak on the island, as well as for visitors to Pico do Areeiro. From here you have a magnificent view of the municipality of São Roque do Faial and the valley of Fajã da Nogueira as well as part of Madeira's central mountain range. The majestic rock formations are also a spectacle at sunrise and sunset 🤩
