Parque de Santa Catarina

For us, Parque de Santa Catarina is the most beautiful city park on Madeira. This large green space lies above the harbour of Funchal and offers particularly wide views over the marina and the bay of the city. Small paths lead through the park between old trees, flower beds and open lawns. A small pond with an island provides a quiet refuge for birds, while locals and visitors often enjoy a break on the grass. The playground with views of the ocean is also one of the most beautifully located in the city. The park was created in 1966 and is centrally located between Avenida do Infante and Avenida Sá Carneiro. Entrance is free.
